Without C.S. Lewis, J.R.R. Tolkien might never have written The Lord of the Rings.

Without Tolkien, Lewis may never have dreamed of Narnia.

This is the story of a legendary friendship—and the cost of it.

Now, you have the opportunity to become a part-owner of the film Fellowship and help bring this powerful story to life.

J.R.R. Tolkien and C.S. Lewis have inspired generations with The Lord of the Rings and The Chronicles of Narnia, enchanting hundreds of millions around the world. But few know how close these masterpieces came to never being written. Battling opposition from without and doubts from within, the two men found strength in the most unexpected places—Tolkien’s devoted wife, a child evacuee of World War II, and, most of all, in each other.

Fellowship transports us into the richly imaginative worlds of two of the greatest storytellers of all time, revealing the creative and spiritual journey that shaped their enduring works.

The Mission

Fellowship is a testament to the power of friendship, imagination, and storytelling to evoke hope in humanity. In an age where facts are debated and meaning feels fleeting, Fellowship offers something rare: a story grounded in authenticity, courage, and the kind of connection that calls us to something higher. It offers a reminder that truth isn’t only found in data or headlines, but in how we love, how we create, and how we stand by one another.

By supporting this project, you're not just investing in a film. You're helping preserve and share the legacy of two men who changed the world through story. Together, we can bring Fellowship to life—and continue the tradition they began.

The Team

Paul Syrstad

Director

Paul Syrstad is a director, writer, and producer based in London, England. After training as an actor at the Royal Central School of Speech & Drama, he soon felt drawn to behind the camera to expand his work as a storyteller. He is currently the director and showrunner of the upcoming TV series "TESTAMENT" - a modern reimagining of the biblical story of the Book of Acts - distributed by Angel Studios and produced by Paul's faith-oriented production company, Roarlight. The series is based on Paul's debut movie, "Testament: The Parables Retold", an anthology of shorts woven into a larger narrative.

When he was invited to a meeting where Angel was going to pitch a new project to him, he wasn't sure what to expect. However, when they started to explain it as "a story that would explore the friendship, faith, and fantasy of..." - he finished their sentence: "of C.S. Lewis and J.R.R. Tolkien." He knew if he had finished the line correctly, then it was the project for him. Sure enough - he was right.

Our Partnership with Angel

Angel is bringing this series to audiences worldwide.

Angel is not just a film and television studio—it is a platform that empowers filmmakers and their audience to collaborate on creating high-quality entertainment without the guesswork of traditional methods.

How does Angel choose projects?

Through membership in the Angel Guild, the audience decides which projects have the potential to be distributed by Angel. It's a unique model where the viewer's voice directly shapes what Angel brings to life on screen.

At Angel, the approach to entertainment isn't just about crafting captivating stories; it's about something more profound—amplifying light. Angel defines entertainment that amplifies light as entertainment that is true, honest, noble, just, authentic, lovely, admirable, and excellent. Through Angel, thousands of fans help decide which titles pass the Guild’s selection process. Approved projects are then reviewed for potential partnership and considered for distribution. Creators and audiences often form passionate communities around their creative projects, making the story behind the story as important as the final project itself.

Angel's previous wide theatrical releases have an average Rotten Tomatoes Popcornmeter of 93%.

The average Popcornmeter for Angel television series' would be a different number than the Popcornmeter for Angel's theatrical feature films. The audience reception for previous films does not guarantee the audience reception for Home to Harmony.
